Disabled Access
Accessibility
Healthhaus is accessed via the main reception of the Hotel de France. Disabled parking is provided directly outside the main front entrance, with a ramp leading up to the front door.
Healthhaus is situated on 2 levels:
- Members lounge, functional training area, female changing rooms and indoor cycling studio are on the same level as the hotel reception.
- Male changing rooms, class studio and disabled changing facilities are on a lower level and are accessible via a ramp from the Hotel Spa.
The Milon suite is not accessible to disabled users as both entrances are via steps; however this area does not provide unique facilities. Technogym Kinesis machines have been included in both the functional studio and class studio as they are accessible to wheelchair users.
Changing / WC facilities
There is an ambulant WC and shower in both male and female changing rooms. Separate disabled WC and shower are also provided.
Equipment
The Kinesis training program is perfect for wheelchair users thanks to the ease of access and freedom of motion provided by this Kinesis. Upper body muscle strength and joint range of motion is important for body transfers and supports functional independence. All Wheelchair participants with upper extremity movement capacity can benefit from Kinesis training. The movements shown will give participants the chance to maximize their full muscle strength and stabilization potential.
